It’s one of the biggest unofficial holidays of the season: Starbucks Red Cup Day has arrived, and the festive energy is already taking over cafés across Canada and the U.S. This year’s giveaway lands on Thursday, November 13, and Starbucks fans are waking up early for one reason, a free limited-edition reusable red cup with the purchase of any handcrafted holiday drink.

Red Cup Day has become a sign that the holidays aren’t just coming… they’re here. Baristas are pouring seasonal favourites like the Peppermint Mocha, Caramel Brûlée Latte, Chestnut Praline Latte, and the returning Iced Sugar Cookie Oat Latte, all served in the brand’s 2025 holiday cup designs featuring ribbon-wrapped greens and classic red accents.

Customers who order any holiday beverage, hot, iced, or blended, will receive the 2025 reusable red cup while supplies last. And yes, they usually go fast.

Alongside the cup drop, Starbucks is continuing its seasonal food line, including the Snowman Cookie, Cranberry Bliss Bar, Gingerbread Loaf, and this year’s new Polar Bear Cake Pop that’s already trending on social media.

For holiday lovers, this is the unofficial green light to start decorating, cue up the Christmas playlists, and plan your next cozy café visit.
